Hi I’m Kristi!
Welcome to my blog site, my event site and my life site. It’s an amalgamation of a bunch of things I love to talk about, because I love sharing most of all. I used to share life through adventurous days and nights with friends, but in this season the Lord has me sharing through words. I can’t say that I’m surprised, because from a young age, I journaled. I even remember my first journal entry (maybe if I can find it, I will post it later). It was about Michael Jackson and the huge crush I had on him. It included a description of how many Emmy's he had won that year (I believe the number was 13, and I believe the year was 1983). So without giving you my exact age, I just dated myself. Anyways besides journaling, I was an avid reader and poet growing up. Over the years, the poems have fallen off, but the journaling and blogging have not, so here I am, pursuing this writing thing.
Where does all this wisdom seem to have come from for A Wiser Me? Well, I guess I should share a bit more about me. I feel like I’ve lived a long life already. I mean I didn’t plan past age 21. But here I am...a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mother and a loyal, but flaky friend. A former corporate climber, to a traveling missionary, to a stay at home mom, I’ve done a few things. I’m great for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or maybe a hug if you are lucky. I enjoy cooking, but even more, I love eating!!! I enjoy yoga, walking, and biking right now, but I’ve been a hiker and runner in the past. My husband teaches permaculture and I believe in and share the wonderful things I’ve learned through him. I’m a jack of all trades and master of none, trying to have as much fun and love well, those people the Lord has given me.
I’m thankful you are here, I hope you gain something from the content, as I work to glorify God and share my life with anyone who will listen. I have to admit, this might be more for me than for you. I’ve learned a lot over the years and I get wiser each year, truly, by the grace of God. So here’s my prayer: When you visit, you will feel like you are meeting with a friend, and that my life will be a blessing. That it will give you hope and encouragement in whatever you are doing.
