I know many of my close friends and family know about this, but many of you do not. I’ve been busy, embarking on a new journey and it’s super exciting. For most of my life I have been relatively focused on moving my body by walking, running, yoga, crossfit, hiking, biking, etc. Years ago I spent quite some time diving into my yoga practice at a place called Yoga Tree Plano. There I met great teachers who really explained yoga to me in a way that I had not experienced. It allowed me to grow stronger and feel more confident in my body. It also allowed me to heal a lot of aches and pains caused by years of other physical activities. So fast forward to today...what’s up? I’d been praying a lot about different pieces in my life and with the great support of my husband and family (which I can’t thank enough), I decided to begin my Yoga Teacher training through Yoga Tree and the amazing instruction of Toni Farris. This 6 month (or so), 200 hour Yoga Certification (200RYT) course will allow me to learn to teach Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
I am so excited! My program is about 3-4 weeks in and already my mind is blown, my body is moving in a direction I hadn’t seen in awhile and my husband says my eyes look brighter than they have in a long time. I’m sharing this with all of you so you can pray for me, bless me and even encourage me as you wish, along the way. I will also be sharing fun updates (like the one below). It’s pretty obvious that little one will want to be involved, but that I will have to do some of my more serious practicing when she’s taking a nap. My goal is to learn this valuable instruction to help others along in healing their minds and bodies. For those of you who may be asking - what does Jesus think about all this, well with deep consideration and prayers of many saints around me who support and give me wisdom, I think Jesus will be right alongside me, guiding me, protecting me and leading me through this journey...and for that I am so thankful! If you have any further questions on that - please feel free to PM me - I’d love to chat.
